As part of the $1 million remodel of the Glen Sanders Mansion, Angelo Mazzone's newest Italian restaurant was opened. A full reimagining of the Glen Sanders Mansion restaurant, Angelo's Tavolo is new from the ground up. With this reimagining there was a full redesign of the restaurant dining room and also a brand new menu. The menu is a modern take on traditional Italian cuisine. This modern theme is continued through the dining room and also into our private party rooms.
With the grand opening happening in early 2009 Angelo's Tavolo has only exceeded expectations. We have recently become an Open Table Diners' Choice Winner in the Mediterranean, Romantic, and Upstate New York categories. We also recently were rated 3 1/2 Stars by the Times Union, describing that the restaurant "artfully balances the traditional ingredients of Schenectady's old Italian restaurants with trendy presentations and preparations."
